Stolen from the Newkom Ranch, One Black Mare - Reward

Stolen - From the Newkom ranch, 8 miles northwest of Yuba City, Friday night, May 9, 1902, 1 black mare about six years old, branded "F" on right hip, weight about 1050 lbs., small white spot in forehead, one white hind foot, right front ankle enlarged, also very plain barbed wire scar on inside same ankle, shod all around. Thief dressed in dark clothes, with white broad-brimmed hat and wore sharp-pointed shoes' had old Spanish saddle and riding bridle.
