THE NATIONAL PARK SERVICE
is charged with the duty of administering the national
parks and national monuments under the jurisdiction of the
department, including their maintenance, improvement,
and protection, and the control of the public operators con-
ducting utilities therein for the care and comfort of visitors.
Within the 19 national parks and 32 national monuments
administered by the National Park Service are to be found
the supreme exhibits of our magnificent natural scenery.
All these wonders belong to all the American people and
should be visited by them.
