San Francisco has turned out many good
fighters, and Frankie Farren, of that city,
can well be added to the list. Frankie did
not shine during the days of the 20-round
bouts on the coast, but he did shine in the
four rounders and won from many of the
stars at Oakland and Vernon. He is some-
what of a hitter and also a clever boxer,
combining both. He has fought such boys
as Joe Benjamin, Jimmy Duffy, George
Shade, Dave Shade and others. He is 24
years old and can easily make the light-
weight limit.
