Howard House and Lady Adams Building 109-115 K Street Howard House was built about 1865 and was the home of an insurance company, a wholesale grocer and a clothing store. The Lady Adams Building, constructed in 1852, was the site of a business which sold cargo and materials brought around Cape Horn on the ship “The Lady Adams".
