COULTERVILLE, CALIFORNIA
Town was first known as BANDERITA, later was
renamed Coulterville in honor of George W. Coulter,
who started first store here in 1849. Coulterville at
one time had an estimated population of 10,000, also
fifteen Hotels and twenty-five Saloons.
