CATALINA ISLAND, A ROMANTIC ADVENTURE
CATALINA ISLAND, CALIFORNIA
Mt. Ada was the Catalina home of Mr. William
Wrigley, Jr. and his wife Ada. Mt. Ada was built in
1921 on the site where it was determined that the
sun first rose and last set on Avalon Valley. The 22
room home is set in a beau tiful 5 acre garden 350
feet above the waters of Avalon Bay. In 1978, Mt.
Ada was donated to the University of Southern
California for use as an academic and cultural con-
