BORN Nov. 23, 1804, at Hills- borough, New Hampshire. Of English ancestry. The son of Gen. Benjamin Pierce, farmer, governor and officer of the Revolutionary army, and Anna Kendrick. Educated at Bowdoin Col- lege. A lawyer. An Episcopalian. DIED Oct. 8, 1869, of stomach trouble, at Concord, New Hampshire, age 64. Buried in the Minot Lot, Old Cemetery, Concord. 14-Franklin Pierce.
