The world's largest, tastiest and most beautiful birthday cake, 25,500 Ibs. Total cost $50,000.
Statistics: Height 26 ft. 4 in. Decorations 2,100 lbs. in Royal icing mounted on
special panels to permit removal of cake while leaving decor virtually intact. All
cake cello-wrapped untouched by human hands.
Recipe in part: Raisins 6,500 Ibs., Cherries 3,000 lbs., Eggs 1,500 dozen (equiv'),
Pineapple 2,800 Ibs., Pecans 2,300 Ibs., Flour, Glace Fruit & a pinch of Salt 150 lbs.

Indian Chief Dan George (co-star of "Little Big Man" and
Oscar Nominee, 1971) with His Worship Mayor R. W.
Prittie of Burnaby cut the cake July 20, 1971.
