MISSOULA COUNTY AIRPORT, busy Western Mon-
tana airfield, on Hwy. 10, just west of Missoula, has
three runways 5,500 to 6,400 ft. long, with four
Northwest Airline flights daily. Johnson Flying Serv-
ice, pioneer flyers of the region, does charter work
and is the nucleus for fire control by plane for
Region 1, U.S.F.S. Missoula Aerial Service also
does charter flying from this port. Many private
planes are based here.
