B-36'S COME HOME. Nosed into work stands at
Convair, Fort Worth, Texas, where all B-36's are
built, is part of the Air Force's Fleet of the Inter-
continental Bombers.
Each B-36 returns to the Convair plant several times
for specialized aircraft maintenance in a major work
progam. The huge wings of the airplane measure
230 feet from tip to tip; tail of the plane is 47
feet high.
