The James Deering estate, consists of 180 acres,
a large part being a Florida hammock retained
in its original state, save for winding drives
here and there. The home is magnificently fur-
nished, many of its chief objects having come
from ancient castles in Europe, being the work of
masters and centuries old. Much about the
estate is virtual transplanting of ancient
civilization. The grounds are very beautiful and
upon certain days open to visitors who never tire
of seeing what is regarded as the most beautiful
estate in America.
