Syracuse University, founded in 1870, occupies the high
ground overlooking the city of Syracuse, New York.
Comprising 15 schools and colleges, the University has
an enrollment of nearly 14,000. The spired brownstone
building in the center is Crouse College, oldest degree-
conferring college of fine arts in the United States.
