Contrary to what is generally the case
this bridge spans the Weber River in
such a manner that instead of passing
through the Devil's Gate the traveler is
carried directly in front of it and is pre-
sented with a view that in ruggedness is
with few equals. Solid granite and sand-
stone precipices rise for hundreds of feet
sheer above the iron highway.
