One of the beauty spots of Honolulu is the Alice
Mackintosh Memorial Tower of St. Andrew's Cathedral.
It was finished in 1912 and commemorates a woman's
devotion to the poor and lowly who departed after a life
spent in the service of God and the Church in the year
1904. In the hearts of all Hawaiians and the people of the
Islands her memory is enshrined forever.
