WALKER LIBRARY, DRURY COLLEGE
SPRINGFIELD, MISSOURI
Erected in 1959 in memory of the late Major
T. P. Walker, a 1908 alumnus and long-time
member of the Board of Trustees, Walker Library
houses the Drury College book collection, many
pamphlets and periodicals and is a selective
depository for U. S. government publications.
Completely air-conditioned, the building is con-
temporary in design and the exterior features a
handsome and functional terrace and reflecting
pool. The Walker Memorial Room houses the
Major's personal library consisting mainly of first
editions and rare books and an original Corot
painting.
