In the solar system room at the Hayden Plane-
tarium one sees moving models, fixed to tracks
in the ceiling, which represent the planets in
their relation to our sun. Here one may observe
the rotation and revolution of the six inner
planets of our solar system, Mercury, Venus,
Earth, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn. Their satel-
lites are shown too in revolution around the
planets, and all have the correct relative periods.
