The oldest part of the House, the story-
and-a-half ell and the woodshed, was
built in 1785 for Weathersfield's first
"settled" Pastor, the Rev. Dan Foster.
About 1825 the two story front was add-
ed. The House has served as a tavern,
doctor's home, home of two generations
of blacksmiths, post office, and private
dwelling.
