CITY POINT, BOSTON. The extreme seaward
point of the southern peninsula of South Boston is called
City Point. Here is City Point Park, bordering the sea, with
the Boston Yacht Club house. On this peninsula are the
charitable and corrections institutions of the city of Boston.
South Boston is separated from the city proper by the South
Bay and Fort Point Channel, the latter being spanned by
numerous bridges. 211.
