THE MILWAUKEE JOURNAL STATION,

The Milwaukee Journal Station, WTAN
broadcasts continually for 18 hours daily with
a frequency of 620 kilocycles on a waves (JUN 20
of 483.6 meters. A 5000-watt Western Ele&
tric transmitting apparatus is used, althoug130 PM
watts days and 1000 watts evening. Thpg 32
main studios and offices of WTMJ are located
in The Milwaukee Journal building, while
the transmitting station is situated in BrookWS
field, 12 miles from the heart of Milwaukee.
The WTMJ staff of fifty artists serves a vast
audience of 750,000 daily listeners with a wide
variety of entertaining and educational radio
programs. The entertainment facilities of The
Journal Station are augmented by its affilia-
tion with the N. B. C. chain networks.
