CONVENT OF MARY IMMACULATE. Key West
possesses in the Convent of Mary Immaculate, under direction
of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary, one of
the largest boarding and day schools in the South. The
spacious gray stone building, erected in 1874, and enlarged
in 1904, is 275 feet in length. The grounds are extensive,
covering more than 8 acres.
