Anong the chief exports of Florida is phosphate, and much
of it is sent from Port Tampa, which has an excellent harbor,
and is connected with the West Indies, Mobile and other ports
by steamer. Being in a great fruit-growing and agricultural
region, Port Tampa is an important shipping point.
