PLAZA OLD TOWN
The Plaza was the early day center of
community life. Here were held Bull Fights,
Indian Games, Law Trials, and Crude Coun-
cils. The U. S. Naval Flag was raised July
29, 1846. The boulder marks the end of the
Kearney Trail from Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.
