BOUGHT BY ALASKA PACKERS ASSN. CONVERTED
TO BARK OF AMERICAN REGISTRY, NAMED STAR OF INDIA
AS CANNERY TENDER CARRIED 300 ORIENTAL WORKERS
BELOW DECKS-40 WHITE FISHERMEN AFT, TRANSPORTING
THEM TO ALASKA CANNERY EACH YEAR AND RETURNING THEM
AND THE CANNED SALMON TO SAN FRANCISCO WHEN RUN
WAS OVER. LAST VOYAGE FROM SAN FRANCISCO TO
BRISTOL BAY ALASKA IN 1923.
BECAME PROPERTY OF SAN DIEGO IN I926.
