THE AMERICAN LEGION HOME SCHOOL,
located at Ponca City, Oklahoma, is the home of 120
orphans and dependent children of veterans of World
War I and II. The photograph on this card shows the
Administration Building and one of the billets.
The Home School is owned by the Department of
Oklahoma, American Legion, and is operated by the De-
partment with maintenance funds granted by legislative
appropriation to the Soldier's Relief Commission. There
are four billets for the housing of the children, a super-
intendent's cottage, a garage and laundry. The children
are cared for here as nearly as possible under conditions
similar to normal home life.
