The Kutub Minar, Ala-ood-din's Tomb. Held by
Fergusson-the historian of Indian architecture - to be
the culminating glory of Pthan architecture. The
arched doorway springs from pilasters, its windows are
of pierced marble, its facade covered with delicate
carvings. Date, 1310.
