His Most Excellent Majesty, George VI (Albert
Frederick Arthur George), by the Grace of God
of Great Britain, Ireland, and of the British
Dominions beyond the Seas, King, Defender of
the Faith, Emperor of India; second son of His
late Majesty King George V and of Her Majesty
Queen Mary, was born at Sandringham Decem-
ber 14, 1895, and married on April 26, 1923,
Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon.
Her Gracious Majesty Queen Elizabeth, fourth
daughter of the Earl and Countess of Strathmore
and Kinghorne, of Glamis Castle, Forfarshire,
and Streatham Castle, Darlington, was born on
August 4, 1900.
His Majesty King George VI was proclaimed
December 12, 1936.
