The Monkees are Davy Jones (who played "The Artful Dodger" in B'way's
"Oliver"), Micky Dolenz, Peter Tork and Michael Nesmith. All of the
Monkees are 21-years-old, give or take a year or two. They all have
brown hair and brown eyes. Davy, who was once an apprentice jockey,
stands 5' 3" and is the shortest of the group. Michael Nesmith is from
Texas, but has taken to wearing a wool cap without which he is rarely
seen. Peter Tork started out to follow his father's footsteps into
college teaching, but turned to singing as an alternative to finishing
school. The group's drummer is micky Dolenz who was TV's "Circus Boy"
for three years.
The Monkees were created especially for the weekly, half-hour, NBC,
color TV'er whose name they bear.
