Additional Details:
The Bourse or Exchange was erected 1802 - 26, by order of Nepoleon, from designs by Brongniart of Labarre, and enlarged in 1890 to accommodate the growing needs o the community. It is built in imitation of the Temple of Vespasian in the Forum at Rome, and is surrounded by a series of sixty-six Corinthian columns 33 feet high. Here centres the financial life of France.
