Docking. The journey ended, the steamer at last
arrives at her dock. A little steam tug comes alongside to
push her nose into her berth; slowly the big ship reaches
her pier, while suppressed excitement reigns over all. The
scene attending the arrival and departure of an ocean liner
is very similar, the same general bustle and confusion
prevailing, only now joyful faces of welcome have sup-
planted the sad ones at parting. Finally the ship is made
fast, the gangway put into place, and passengers eagerly
rush down to greet the dear ones waiting to receive them.
