located in the center of Alamo Plaza, in ||30 AM
the heart of the City. Rose bushes, palms
and varieties of tropical plants, also, Span-
ish Daggers in bloom, make this Park à
beautiful siglt the year round. The his-
toric Alamo, built in 1718, shows plainly
across the Park. Alamo signifies cotton
wood and as the building was built in a
grove of these big trees it derived its name
from them.
