Back:
Early morning scene at Randolph Field,
Texas, the "West Point of the Air," as the 500
Flying Cadets, soon to be full-fledged military
pilots in the Army Air Corps, march to their
planes for the daily flying routine. Half of
these future pilots are scheduled to complete
their second phase of training at Randolph
Field about June 15. Ahead of them lies a
final ten weeks course of advanced flying at
Kelly Field before they are awarded their
wings. Two more training centers, comprising
both basic and advanced flight training, soon
will be opened to aid in the training of 7000
pilots annually, the Air Corps' present ex-
pansion plan.
