Scale model of the first self-propelled
vehicle which was the forerunner of trans-
portation vehicles of today. It was invented
by Nicholas Joseph Cugnot and built in
1770. This first automobile is one of the
hundreds of interesting exhibits to be seen
in the Hall of Motion.
