BRIG BEAVER II IN BOSTON HARBOR
The Brig Beaver II is an authentic replica of one of three ships involved in the
famous Boston Tea Party. On the night of December 16, 1773, American
patriots boarded three merchant vessels in Boston Harbor and threw overboard
340 chests of tea to protest British "Taxation without Representation."
As the first organized Colonial rebellion against the Mother Country, the Tea
Party stands as "the single most important event leading to the American
Revolution."
