mian Expeditionary Force, and the Captor of
Bagdad, was born 24th June, 1864, and is the
youngest son of the late General Sir F, Maude,
G.C.B., V.C. Before being appointed to his present
command, he served in the war in France, was
wounded in 1915, and he has been five times
mentioned in despatches.
