AT THE TOP OF BIG SAVAGE MOUNTAIN,
the Mountain Inn Hotel can boast of having the
highest sleeping quarters on the National Highway
east of the Mississippi River, and is a modern “Stop
over Inn” for either rooms or meals. A few hundred
feet from this point is the famous St. Johns Rock,
at an elevation of nearly 3,000 feet can be seen a
beautiful view of the valley for many miles around.
