220023—New Court House. The new Court
House, Guy Lowell, architect, will cover four city
blocks facing Lafayette, Centre and Worth Streets.
It will be circular in shape, occupy 120,000 square
feet of ground, with a diameter of 500 feet and 200
feet in height. It will have four portico entrances
of massive pillars. Building will cost $10,000,000
and site $6,000,000.
