The new St. Francis Xavier Church at Kansas
City, Mo., is under the direction of the Jesuit
Fathers. Built of steel and stone it is strictly
of contemporary design. Its shape is that of
a fish symbolic of Christ as was the ichthus
in the early days of the Church.
