This church vwas organized in 1840
before there was a Kansas City, and
when Westport was the outfitting
station for the Santa Fe Trail. From
those far-away days of Indians,
pioneers, traders and prairie-schooners
down thru the eighty years of its
history, this church has had an honor-
able place in the religious life of the
city.
Kansas City is destined to be the me-
tropolis of the Great Central West.
This church is in the track of the
city's growth. It is taking its place
among the forces for makıng Kansas
City Christian.
