TRUST BUILDING. The principal business interests of
Altoona are centered in the great shops of the Pennsylvania
Railroad,--probably the largest railroad shops in the world-
which give employment to 7,000 men, but the geographical
position of the city (it lies near the middle of the state) is
causing it to take rank as a financial and mercantile center.
Many handsome buildings grace its business streets, of which
the Trust Building is probably the most notable example.
