ASSATEAGUE ISLAND, VA.
Assateague beach looking east from fisherman's point
on Assateague Island, the home of the famous wild
ponies and maintained by the U. S. Fish and Wildlife
Service as a game refuge. The beach is a 10 minute
speedboat ride from the Chincoteague Yacht and Sports-
man's Club, which provides shuttle service from the
club to beach.
