Marion Memorial Hospital is owned by the City
of Marion, and is operated by a board of five
members appointed by the city council. This hos-
pital was opened in 1953, and was built by com-
munity subscriptions and Hill-Burton act funds.
A proposed building program will soon in-
crease the capacity to 75 beds, and will also
give enlarged service facilities and additional
parking area.
