Designed by noted architect Paul Rudolph to "house
the sciences in what is hopefully a work of art," this hand-
some building joins with Winton-Scott Hall to form a $7.6
million Science Research Center. The combined 236,000
square feet of space provides classrooms and laboratories
for chemistry, geology and physics (in Richardson Bldg.)
and biology, mathematics and psychology (in Winton-
Scott). The Center is designed to bring the sciences within
close proximity to encourage interdisciplinary work.
