ANTHROPOLOGIST LOUIS S. B. LEAKEY, wife Mary
and son Philip, dig the earth of the Zinjanthropus
site, Olduvai Gorge, Tanzania. In searching for
man's origins, Dr. Leakey has unearthed 1,750,000-
year-old Zinjanthropus, in 1959, and in 1963, Homo
habilis.
