The Fire Department at the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport ("Detroit
Metro") has 4 crash trucks from Walters. Crash 1 is the newest and the smallest
crash unit at the airport, and carries 1000 gallons of water and 400 lbs. of 'Purple
K.' This is a four wheel drive, dual agent, quick response unit, and has a 500 GPM
pump. The orange color stems from the unity between county vehicles in the area
though the airport Fire Department is changing to lime green.
