Fermilab is the National Accelerator Laboratory outside of Batavia, Illinois. It is a
goverment facility which studies the atom and high energy physics. They equipped
this Custom P-Model Pumper with a Detroit Diesel Engine, 1500 GPM 2 stage
Waterous Pump and a 500 gallon booster tank. Engine 723 also carries both AFFF
and high expansion foam, a foam eductor and 400' of 1 1/2" pre-connect instead
of a booster line, and there is a prepiped deluge gun. The hose beds have reinforced
aluminum treadplate covers sturdy enough to walk on.
