The magnificent Building is constructed of concrete, Colorado Limestone and Terra Cotta, being fire proof throughout. Two and one half million dollars was spent in its erection including track elevation and approaches. The station was opened to the public. March 8, 1914 and the first ticket sold was purchased by F. W. Hockaday, President of the Hockaday Auto Supply Co., 409 E. Douglas Ave., Wichita, Kans.
