mated cost being over fifty million dollars, the
station building and its appurtenances alone
costing six million dollars. The general wait-
ing room is 80 feet wide and 410 feet long. An
arched passageway connects the general wait-
ing room with the grand lobby, which is 143
feet wide and 272 feet long, with an ornamental
ceiling 120 feet high.
The main building fronts a plaza which is
connected with and is to be made a part of
Kansas City's magnificent system of public parks
and boulevards.
