This view of the Grand Lobby of the Union Sta-
tion, Kansas City, shows the entrance to the Main
Waiting Room. The clock suspended in the arch
has two dials, one to be seen from the waiting room,
the other from the lobby; the face of the clock is six
feet in diameter. At either side of the central arch
are booths for the sale of newspapers, periodicals,
candies, fruits, cigars, novelties and articles needed
by travelers. The Grand Lobby is one of the great
features of the Union Station as designed by its arch•
tect, Jarvis Hunt.
