THE UNION STATION, a structure 150 by 150 feet, is
erected on the southwest corner of Walnut and Broad Streets.
It is of Romanesque architecture, four stories in height, with
a main tower risiug 220 feet; the clock in this tower is
unique, in that instead of hands, it has movable blocks to
indicate the hour. The Station was completed in 1900, anti
cost $ 560,000.
