In the design and decoration of the Lunch Room
in the Union Station, Kansas City, there is little to
suggest the old time lunch counter of a railway pas-
senger terminal. The walls are tinted in gray and
pink, with a marble wainscoting extending about
four feet from the floor. The serving counter is of
marble, and with the tables gives accommodation for
250 guests.
The lunch rooms are under the man-
agement of Fred Harvey.
